    Selection Notes

    • Limits capacitor and transformer inrush by dropping resistance as it heats.
    • It does not interrupt a fault — pair it with a fuse or breaker upstream.
    • Leave cooling time between power cycles so the disk returns to high resistance.
    • Resistance at 25 °C sets the cold-start limiting; the hot value is far lower.
    • A disk rated for a higher steady current runs cooler at the same load.
    • Beta value 3300 K describes how sharply resistance falls with temperature.
    • Continuous current must stay at or below 11 A or the disk self-heats.
